A handful of people in Migori town are feared dead after a lorry lost its brakes, occasioning a crash in the morning of Saturday, April 8.
Sources have indicated that the lorry was loaded with rice when its driver lost control and veered off. It rammed into the pedestrians and boda boda operators who had parked by the roadside. The fatalities could be over 20, as per the sources at the scene.
Opposition leader Raila Odinga sent his condolences and quick recovery prayer to those affected. "I offer my deepest sympathies to all those who have lost their loved ones, friends, and colleagues in the tragic accident that occurred this morning at the boda boda stage in Migori town.
