AKOTHEE'S WEDDING

Akothee, whose real name is Esther Akoth, is a Kenyan musician, businesswoman, and philanthropist. She has five children from previous relationships and is engaged to her Swiss fiancé, Omosh. Akothee’s family is unique, as she has been very open about her past relationships and her challenges as a single mother. She has often spoken about her experiences of being abandoned by her partners and the difficulties of raising her children alone. Despite these challenges, Akothee has built a successful career in music and business. She founded Akothee Safaris, a travel and tours company, and the Akothee Foundation, a charity organization that provides education, healthcare, and other basic needs to disadvantaged children and families in Kenya. Akothee’s children are a big part of her life and career. She has often shared photos and videos of them on social media and has even involved them in her music and business ventures. Akothee’s capable and diligent parenting has resulted in her daughters, Prudence Apundo, Vesha Shailan Okello, and Celly Rue Brown, growing up lovely and fortunate. The unbreakable bond between the singer and her daughters is evident, and Akothee consistently wishes the best for them. In addition to her daughters, Akothee is a proud mother of two handsome boys, Ojwang and Oyoo. Akothee’s openness about how she triumphed over adversity to become the person she is today is commendable. Her story is an excellent source of inspiration for those facing similar challenges. At the tender age of 14, the provocative artist gave birth to her first daughter. By 16, she had welcomed two more daughters into the world. The three girls share the same father, Jared Okello. Akothee’s early motherhood meant she became a parent at a very young age. Nonetheless, she went on to have two more children, both boys. Akothee has been vocal about her love for motherhood.
If you assumed that Akothee’s relationship with her mother, Monica Yunita Kokeyo, was smooth sailing, think again. It appears that her mother was not very accommodating in the past. However, things have changed for the better. During one of her performances, Akothee’s mother, Yunita Kokeyo, made a surprise appearance on stage. In a heartfelt post, the ‘Oyoyo’ hitmaker described her mother as a strict, no-nonsense woman, revealing that her mother has finally accepted her for who she is, flaws and all. “For the first time, my mom sat through my entire performance, and that’s no mean feat. She is a strict, no-nonsense, but loving and caring mother who tells it like it is. She has finally accepted me for who I am, flaws and all. It’s time to move on. I love you, Monica. You looked stunning in that costume,” Akothee wrote. Akothee and her siblings have not had the best relationships, mostly with her sister. The bitter rivalry between the two sisters came to light a few years ago after Edgar Obare exposed Cebbie for backstabbing Akothee. Previously, the mother of five had taken to Instagram to suggest that the issues between her and her siblings were not simply sibling rivalries but stemmed from jealousy. “It makes no sense for an older sibling to support the younger one and then begin to compete with them. How can you compete with a project you helped create? It’s like competing against yourself. Unless you’re fighting over family inheritance, there’s no such thing as sibling rivalry. Call it what it is: jealousy,” she wrote. The strained relationship caused Akothee not to attend her sister’s wedding last December. “We are having another event in December, which I am also happy about. I am so happy. From the bottom of my heart, I mean well. The only thing is, I was not going to go to that wedding anyway because my younger sister and I have not been on good terms for close to a year now; maybe you do not know. I haven’t said she is evil, but I packed my bags out of that relationship.
